1849 Kammerbuchse (802)

In 1849, the Kammerbuchse was redesigned, eliminating the brass bands and adding the new pistol grip trigger guard. It kept the 33 1/4" .69 caliber rifled barrel, but a new more simpler steel band was added. The 23" bayonet now has the new locking ring. Over 20,000 of these were sent to the U.S. during the war. It is brass mounted except for the steel barrel band.
