Snaplock (890)
The snaplock is believed to have started appearing in Norway in the 1560's. This is one of the earliest forms of the Norwegian snaplock, it has a separate manual pan cover. The mainspring and frizzen spring are one piece. This basic pattern lock continued in use well into the percussion era, on sporting arms. Very basic, simple and dependable lock. This snaplock has a 31" tapered & flared rifled barrel in .50 or .54 caliber.
