These muskets have round face locks and the pans have bridles on them. They have brass bands and barrel lengths average from 44 1/2 to 43 1/2”. Some have three bands and some have four bands. There seem to be considerable minor variations in these guns. There are also some earlier guns that were modified with bands added to them, but most of these will have flat faced locks. These muskets are believed to have been made in the 1770-1800 period.
