1851 Minie Rifle (862)
This is the first rifled musket of the British army, very similar to the pattern 1842 except it is a little slimmer in size. The barrel caliber was reduced to .70 with 4 grooves and 39" in length. The barrel was also retained with keys. There were approximately 35,000 made. The long range rear sight was sighted for 900 yards. This rifle made a grand showing in the Crimean War where it preformed exceedingly well. Lock parts will be available by mid to late summer.
