1716 Marine Fusil Ordinaire (633)
The 1716 contracts specify the new flat lock plates and all muskets now are made to take the socket bayonets. The new locks still do not have pan bridles and two 1716’s we have looked at did not have internal bridles. The trigger guard, side plate and thimbles now resemble the standard French Infantry Musket. The barrel is a 44 1/2" octagon to round and available in .69 caliber. All Marine Fusils have a long octagon section before going into a round.
