1729 & 1734 Marine Fusil Ordinaire (795)
This 1729 Fusil looks almost identical to the 1717 standard French Infantry Musket now. The main difference is the barrel which still has the 10-12" octagon portion with wedding bands and the lock now has a bridle. The butt plate is now very similar to the standard French Infantry Musket. The 1729 has a wooden rammer with a worm on the end. The only difference between the 1729 and the 1734 is the 1734 has a steel ramrod. The barrel is 44 1/2", octagon to round, in .69 caliber. The 1729 contract now has the center band with sling ring. There is still a Grenadier Musket, the only difference is the barrel on the Grenadier is 2" shorter.
