1840 French Percussion Musket (868)
First New French Percussion Musket with a completely new design lock. The 1840 used a standard Patent breech that screwed on to the back of the barrel. The caliber .70 was retained and this weapon was produced in two different barrel lengths, the Voligever’s 40.5" and the Grenadier’s 41.5".
