T.W. Pistor Jeager Rifle (510)
This Military Jeager was used by the Hesse Cassel Jeager Corps which landed in New York in August 1776. Moller states that the Hessian Jeager Corps saw service in almost every battle in the American Revolution. The lock is beautifully made with a fly that pivots around the tumbler shaft, and a large, early, wide and square top frizzen. The patterns for this were made by Robert Fisch of the West Point Museum. We also have a beautiful drawing of this weapon done by Walter Nock. It has a 28 1/2" octagon tapered and flared barrel, available in .62 caliber. The lock plate measures 5 1/4" x 1". The throw of the cock is 1 1/2".
