French Marine Plug Bayonet (834)
This is a typical French Ordnance Bayonet that was used on all French muskets from the 1670’s till after the 1700’s. Erik Goldstein states that the first mention of plug bayonets in Canada was in 1647. In 1689 many of the Indians had them. The length of the blade is 14 3/4".
