The Russian Musket of 1769 was a very solid built weapon still retaining the dog catch on the lock. The .69 caliber barrel was octagon at the breech and 40 1/2" long. The locks have the Tula arsenal marks and date of manufacture. The butt plates on Russian Military weapons will have the double headed eagle engraved on the tangs. This is basically the same musket as the earlier muskets except for the barrel length.
