1803 Spanish Musket (780)
The Spanish came out with this new lock in 1803. It has the sear setup of a miquelet combined with the internal mainspring of the 1752 Spanish Musket Series (622). All the furniture was redesigned and is now a much simpler pattern. The stock design is still very similar to the earlier models but slightly slimmer in comparison and most are made in beech or maple. These were used all through the Napoleonic Wars. The barrel is a 43 1/2" octagon to round, available in .69 caliber. The lock plate measures 6 1/2" x 1 5/16". The throw of the cock is 1 1/2".
