The Swedes used this standard pattern flat-faced lock on their muskets from the late 1730’s all the way to 1760’s. It is of very high quality for a military lock. The lock measures 6 3/4" x 1 1/4" and the 1747 uses the dog catch as shown. The 1738 does not have the dog catch. The throw size is 1 9/16".
