The 1812 model was designed to get more uniformity between weapons in service, but it also under went quite a few changes and was not produced until 1815 and early 1816. It was dropped in 1816 when the new model 1816 was adopted. We are currently making the following parts for this musket with the Wickham type bands and spring retainers. Most of the contract 1812’s used the 1795 style bands and band springs. The throw of the cock is 1 7/8".
