French Percussion Arms

In 1839 the French started converting arms to percussion. Any weapon converted to percussion was stamped with a T (transformed). If at that time or later it was rifled it was also stamped BIS meaning it was transformed two different ways. This marking will be a small scroll T and a small scroll BIS on the breech tang of the weapons modified.
